CyberKongz Announces Migration to Axie Chain: Genkai NFTs to mint on Ronin

The world of blockchain gaming has become the hub for innovation lately. The news remains flooded with one groundbreaking initiative after the other from the major giants to new firms around the globe. The companies are pushing their boundaries to revolutionise the gaming landscape and now the sky’s the limit!

One such advancement the cryptocurrency news channels have been talking about is the migration of Play and Kollect, CyberKongz NFT minting game from one Ethereum sidechain to another. The move is from the Polygon chain to Ronin, a network created by Axie Infinity developer Sky Mavis, a Vietnam-based firm.

The team also announced the launch of a new anime-inspired non-fungible token (NFT), Genkai on both Ronin, Ethereum sidechain, and Ethereum mainnet this week.

Such collaborations are expected to not only benefit the community but also take the blockchain gaming industry to high-flying heights.

CyberKongz’s Genkai NFT

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have swept the global market, offering value propositions to their holders that range from digital arts to virtual real estate to gaming characters and items. CyberKongz has been capitalizing on this trend to become one of the prominent blockchain-based gaming platforms.

Their creativity and innovation seem to have no bounds. The introduction of a new Genkai NFT is one such example showcasing its will to continuously offer entertaining value to its community. Genkai NFT is an anime-inspired virtual character within the CyberKongz ecosystem possessing rare and exclusive attributes.

20,000 Genkai NFTs will be minted in total, with 16,000 on the Ethereum mainnet and 4000 on the Ronin, Ethereum sidechain. An option will be granted to the Ethereum NFT holders to migrate their Genkai NFTs to Ronin in the future. Genkai NFTs will be made available at the cost of 0.25 ETH or the equivalent of RON. With the limited supply of Genkai NFT and its integration with Ronin, the digital asset remains a highly desirable one among the members of the ecosystem.

Additionally, the creator of Axie Infinity plans to reward complimentary Genkai NFTs to all owners of Mystic Axie NFTs, as a part of their collaboration.

The Reason for Migration

The primary reason for minting the Genkai NFTs on Ronin is to enable a smooth transition of the game into the Axie Infinity Chain. One of the Kongz’s council members Henry put forward very clearly that CyberKongz was actually born out of the Axie Community and they grabbed the very first chance they got to collaborate with it through Ronin.

With the play-to-earn model and a vibrant community, the Axis Infinity chain has gained immense traction. CyberKongz’s migration into Ronin is to tap into the larger audience of the Axie Community and offer the player a cross-platform experience.

This interoperability between the blockchain networks marks a significant forward step to fostering a more inclusive community. The player can conveniently transfer their digital assets from Ronin to the Axie Infinity chain without any loss of their NFT collections.

With the benefit of enhanced scalability, community growth, and several play-to-earn opportunities, the decision of CyberKongz to mint the Genkai NFTs on the Ronin, Ethereum sidechain can be considered as a prominent forward-thinking strategy. The success of such ventures highly relies on the community’s acceptance and engagement, but this would undoubtedly lead to fostering its inclusive growth.

To keep the curiosity and interest of the players intact many advancements in the collaboration remain untold, however, Henry mentions that a lot can change over time.
