The Lost Glitches: An Ethereum Card Game That’s Unlike Anything Else When It Enters Open Beta on the Epic Store

  • The Lost Glitches hopes to keep gamers captivated when the open beta goes live on the Epic Games Store with a creative vision and vivid charm.

The Lost Glitches’ developers believe that using art as a means of attracting players is crucial, as they perceive it to be absent from the most recent wave of massively popular “AAA” games.

The game is built on the Ethereum layer-3 network Xai—the developers acknowledged that they need to provide more than simply eye-catching graphics to keep players interested.

According to Franco De Cesare, head of publishing and marketing at Mimunga, the publisher of Lost Glitches, “I think [art] is critically important for us.” Everything we do is driven by an artistic and creative vision that is infused with the emotion we want players to experience.

The creators of the game had a vision from the beginning, with human-made art serving as the focal point and permeating The Lost Glitches’ gameplay and atmosphere. This coincides with De Cesare’s perception that AAA games stifle originality.

When it comes to art and visual quality, there is a distinction between innovation and creativity. According to De Cesare, AAA games undoubtedly have extremely high-quality graphics. However, he continued, “I think there’s a little bit less artistry and creativity in it,” pointing out that major publishers find it challenging to take such bold, creative risks on modern works.

The tech-optimistic world that the developers invite players to explore is first revealed to them through the artwork of The Lost Glitches. It’s a departure from the fantasy world that Magic: The Gathering and Blizzard’s Hearthstone helped to popularize for the trading card genre, but it’s also far livelier than the sci-fi Ethereum card battler Parallel.

According to De Cesare, technology has brought about hardships in our world, but we have embraced it with hope, vibrant diversity, and variety. And because it has distinct personalities and vivid hues, I believe that makes us stand out. The characters’ distinct qualities are shown in their gaming prowess. and evil forces exist.

However, the game offers more than just a colorful universe supported by painstakingly produced imagery. To give players more depth, The Lost Glitches also combines aspects of role-playing games (RPGs) with the trading card genre.

De Cesare said, “I don’t think anyone has been committed to really integrating the two genres.” You can improve your abilities and then combine them with your plan of attack to dominate the battlefield.

He clarified, “It’s skill meets strategy.” In a way that is not possible with trading alone, you can develop your expertise by engaging in the role-playing game mode.

Through the completion of missions and quests in a progression mode, players will be able to enhance their skill tree, which will then have an impact on how they construct their decks. The open beta deployment includes this new capability as well as other features that will be gradually added over time.

The Lost Glitches is available for download on the Epic Games Store right now, but the developers are already planning a full launch for later this year. The Lost Glitches hopes to benefit players as they acquire and buy NFT-based cards over time by enabling them to freely exchange their cards via Xai, the burgeoning Ethereum gaming network.

We consider each of our characters to be an original piece of digital art. And in that regard, we think highly of them, according to De Cesare. That, in our opinion, creates the opportunity for a player to create value, accumulate wealth, and possibly even monetize that value.
