Amid worries about hacking, Caitlyn Jenner’s X account supports memecoin

  • On pump.fun on Sunday, Caitlyn Jenner’s X account began advertising a memecoin bearing her name.
  • Debates about the legitimacy of videos purporting to show Jenner and her manager endorsing memecoin went viral on social media.

Though opinions on social media on whether or not Olympian and media figure Caitlyn Jenner’s account has been hacked, Jenner’s X account has been endorsing an eponymous memecoin that was released using token launchpad Pump.fun.

On Sunday afternoon, Jenner’s X account tweeted the meme token’s link with the message, “Let’s all win together!!” Here, send me a few of your preferred memecoins.

The reality TV star’s X account claimed in a string of tweets that it had not been compromised. After that, Jenner’s account seems to have taken part in a Twitter Space session, although another account—possibly that of Jenner’s manager—joined to answer questions. The account stated, “I am out golfing.”

In a follow-up video posted on the social media profile, the person who seems to be Jenner stated, “A lot has been going on today, and yes, the crypto is, my account is real.”

Many X users, however, questioned the veracity of the account and the video, with some adamant that it had been deepfaked using artificial intelligence. In an effort to prove that the tweets are authentic and unhacked, the X account posted two more videos featuring speakers claiming to be Jenner and her manager, Sophia Hutchinson.

Similar to Jenner’s account, American rapper Rich the Kid’s X account tweeted earlier on Sunday, although it has since been removed.

X user @CodeXBT stated that Jenner recently requested donations on the wallet where the Rich the Kid and Jenner tokens are linked and nuked. Considering how frequently people are getting hacked these days, I wouldn’t trust tweets.

There’s a wager on whether Jenner’s account was hacked on Polymarket’s prediction platform, and only 7% of users think it’s likely that Caitlyn Jenner’s X account has been hacked.

According to the tweets, Jenner’s Instagram account was observed advertising the meme token link on Pump.fun, despite the ongoing rumors regarding the veracity of the X account.

The memecoin was originally promoted by Jenner’s X account, which tweeted a picture of Jenner with Republican contender and former US President Donald Trump. Trump recently stated that he strongly supports cryptocurrency as part of his campaign.

Jenner has a reputation for openly endorsing Trump and the Republican Party. Her X account shared meme coin-related tweets with its own, endorsing Trump’s stance on cryptocurrency.

According to DEX Screener, the market capitalization of the Jenner meme coin is presently approximately $30 million.
