A million wallets are active on the Sonic testnet, with 600 million transactions

  • The Solana-based Layer 2 gaming network Sonic has announced that more over 600 million transactions took place on its testnet, with one million active addresses every month.

The L2 is the first gaming platform powered by a Solana Solana sol 3.13% virtual computer. It is not the same as Fantom’s Sonic enhancement, Fantom ftm 8.05%.

In details shared with crypto.news on Aug. 8, According to Sonic SVM, the testnet’s initial phase garnered more over a million active addresses. More than 600 million transactions were made during Sonic Origins, the network’s initial testnet phase, where players interacted with titles like Rage Effect, JogoJogo, and LowLifeForms.

Following the launch of Sonic Testnet Odyssey in June, the most recent testnet milestone was reached.

Sonic eyes natural development

The testnet gave Sonic the chance to improve network reliability and throughput while also giving users a way to evaluate Sonic’s game and Web3 experience.

As one of the first SVMs on Solana, we’re thrilled to witness actual implementation and the development of an organic community around Sonic, which has shown excellent outcomes in terms of user demand and engagement. remarked Chris Zhu, a co-founder of Sonic SVM.

Sonic Frontier, the second live testnet phase that will see more titles and partners onboarded, comes after Origins. Frontier now links the network to active Solana protocols so that users on Sonic SVM have more possibilities for connecting with decentralized applications.

Additional validators are scheduled to join the network during this phase as well. They will finish grid transactions on Solana by utilizing the common validator network of HyperGrid. With HyperGrid, developers can create and release new games on Solana and process transactions simultaneously. HyperGrid is a horizontal scalability solution.

Following the completion of the Frontier testnet, Sonic, which secured $12 million in a Series A round in June, will launch its mainnet.
