According to the release, Arbitrum will supply the necessary blockchain infrastructure, guaranteeing that the game can maintain a sizable and vibrant community.

Blockchain technologies will be provided by Sequence to enable the game to incorporate web3 features. The purpose of these technologies is to guarantee a seamless and entertaining user experience while improving player interaction.

Furthermore, Ubisoft will supervise the construction of the project by utilizing its expertise in game development. Ubisoft intends to give players more control over the story and development of the game by implementing blockchain components, encouraging a more community-driven experience.

Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E. is set to be a ground-breaking player-driven project, with the foundation of Sequence’s full web3 stack and Arbitrum’s supercharged blockchain infrastructure, according to Ubisoft Labs VP Nicolas Pouard.

Pouard continued, “With Arbitrum’s blockchain features, we are able to truly involve the community in influencing the narrative, gameplay, and even side experiences.” This encourages openness and joint innovation, setting the stage for Captain Laserhawk to have a genuinely collaborative future.

The CEO of Sequence, Peter Kieltyka, emphasized that the web3 technologies on the platform will enable seamless player experiences and provide a plethora of imaginative gaming and world-building opportunities.

Ubisoft Explores Blockchain and Web3 Applications

As a video game producer, Ubisoft was one of the first to explore with Web3 projects. In April, the firm issued card collectibles from the gaming franchise Watch Dogs, together with the Ethereum non-fungible token (NFT) card game Cross The Ages.

The makers of Assassin’s Creed declared in November 2023 that they will be issuing free Ethereum NFTs for their game Champions Tactics: The Warlords PFP Collection.
