Martin Shkreli, the controversial businessman who was convicted of securities fraud after raising the price of a life-saving drug, has been making assertions on the internet that the DJT token is actually being supported by Trump’s family or staff.
Shkreli retweeted a message on Monday asserting that DJT is an official Trump token. Pirate Wires’ X account reported on Monday night that, according to talks, Trump was launching the token and that Barron, the president’s youngest son, was leading the project.
Shkreli did not answer a request for comment right away.
Shkreli claimed DJT was a legitimate Trump token on Monday night, but CoinDesk reports he denied any involvement with the token.
