TikTok users are included in the airdrop for Solana L2 Sonic

Layer-2 gaming-focused The native Solana network Through its social media blockchain game, Sonic intends to deliver SONIC tokens to TikTok users who have been onboarded. The Open Network developers of Telegram mini-games, like the Solana (SOL) Virtual Machine protocol, created their SonicX game straight on TikTok.

For web3 ventures, the concept is on using current web2 audiences, which include millions of users on platforms such as TikTok and Telegram.

TikTok has more than 1 billion active users each month, and by 2029, that figure is predicted to rise to over 2 billion.

Social media-native games gained a lot of traction on Telegram and TON. In just a few short months, projects like Notcoin and Hamster Kombat Hamster gathered millions of users.

The trend seemed to be temporary, though, as protocols saw a precipitous decline in activity following the token airdrop. Immediately following its cryptocurrency distribution, Hamster Kombat lost more than 80% of its user base. Reports of a decline in the vitality of the Telegram mini app have also been made public by cryptocurrency behemoths Gate and Binance.
