- The total front-end fees for Uniswap Labs have surpassed $50 million.
The developer company of the Uniswap protocol, Uniswap Labs, has seen its total front-end fees surpass $50 million.
In October, the platform charged users 0.15% for transactions made using its web interface and wallet app. The accrued fees are given to the labs and serve as a revenue stream for the business. In mid-April, Uniswap Labs raised the pricing of their interface from 0.15% to 0.25%.
As of this writing, the total fees have increased thirteen times from $3.7 million on January 1st to approximately $50.6 million.
This occurs when the volume of on-chain swaps on Uniswap continues to make it the largest DEX.
DEX aggregators like 1inch, Cowswap, and Paraswap are options for users who wish to forego the front-end cost; however, it is important to note that these platforms could have various pricing structures.
The most popular DEX aggregator, 1 inch, accounted for 19.8% of DEX activity in July, while the Uniswap front accounted for 25.7%. The monthly share of activity produced by DEX frontends is used to quantify this.
