The IT division of ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, is working with Sui builders on web3 gaming and SocialFi

  • Mysten Labs, the creator of layer-1 blockchain Sui, and BytePlus, the venture technology division of ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, are collaborating.

The foundation for the project announced in a blog post on Wednesday morning that BytePlus, the enterprise technology services arm of TikTok owner ByteDance, is collaborating with Mysten Labs to improve web3 gaming and SocialFi products on Sui, Mysten’s blockchain network. 

BytePlus and Mysten Labs will work together to provide Sui with a range of services, such as augmented reality products and recommendation engines.

BytePlus provides a number of essential goods for builders, such as BytePlus CDN, a network of servers and data centers for expedited delivery, and AI recommendation algorithm solutions. 

Mysten Labs claims that these tools will enable the company to spearhead web3 gaming partnerships with significant video game development firms.

Furthermore, according to a statement released by Mysten Labs on Wednesday, BytePlus will provide builders on the Layer 1 blockchain with access to its data warehousing and AI-powered algorithmic tools, which will enhance their analytics and allow them to extend infinitely.

According to a statement from Mysten Labs CEO Evan Cheng, integrating state-of-the-art AI recommendation and visual algorithms into Sui is a step toward improving user experience within Web3 game platforms and socialFi initiatives.

Mysten Labs and Byte Plus are also working together to launch initiatives to expand Sui’s community, like global hackathons and instructional series.
