The Fantom Foundation has given the Sonic Labs Accelerator Program around $144,000,000 in FTM

  • Up to 200 million FTM tokens will be provided by the Fantom Foundation to help launch Sonic, the newest version of the network.
  • The Fantom Foundation claims in a recent blog post that its treasurer wants to accelerate the quick integration of other partners and decentralized apps (dApps) into the Sonic network.

Sonic is intended to function as a native layer-2 chain connected to Ethereum (ETH) and a high-throughput layer-1 chain.

According to the Fantom Foundation, the donation demonstrates its commitment to building a strong and vibrant community and platform.

Sonic aims to transform blockchain technology for the better, enable today’s forward-thinking developers to create tomorrow’s decentralized applications, and allow our community to actively participate in the creation of a thriving, international cooperative ecosystem.

Our advanced on-chain tooling and strategic investments in premier infrastructure providers position us to provide unmatched assistance for both developers and users. The upcoming funding will support both flagship applications built into the new Sonic network and ongoing Fantom projects. This is the first of many projects we plan to introduce before Sonic, a new network that will redefine the industry by processing up to 200 million transactions daily, launches.

As we build this ecosystem and take part in Sonic’s ascent, we cordially invite you to travel with us.

According to the Foundation, the first phase in the allocation process is to select the top applicants that have demonstrated interest in the Sonic technology and to prioritize strategic awards for proposals from inside the present Fantom ecosystem.
