The Aptos Foundation and a crypto-AI business collaborate to develop tools for the Move programming language

  • The foundation is developing AI-powered tools for the custom programming language Move in partnership with the decentralized AI platform FLock.io.

The Aptos Foundation and FLock.io, a decentralized artificial intelligence platform, are working together to develop AI tools that would facilitate scripting in Move, the blockchain’s own programming language.

For Move on the Aptos network, FLock.io has created a customized big language model. Initial evaluations against cutting-edge models such as ChatGPT-4o have demonstrated that FLock.io’s LLM performs better when it comes to producing Move-specific code, with notable advantages in readability and accuracy.

Developers have been using chatbots like Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s ChatGPT to hone their coding skills since the beginning of the AI age. Hearing that cryptocurrency developers are using these platforms to conduct audits in addition to writing smart contract code has become quite common.

Meta originally developed Aptos’ resource-oriented programming language for the Diem stablecoin project (although the firm was then known as Facebook) and the blockchain project Libra. It is frequently cited as being simpler to use than Solidity, Ethereum’s own programming language.

Nevertheless, it is not commonly used because it is a relatively new programming language. Bashar Lazaar is the Aptos Foundation’s head of grants and ecosystem. Without the proper resources, adoption may seem overwhelming. Sui and Movement, two competing smart contract-focused networks, both use Move.

By concentrating on Move, we’re not merely improving a programming language; rather, we’re giving developers the means to simplify, secure, and expedite intricate blockchain activities.
