Stride announces launch of stTIA on the Astria EVM Shortly

  • stTIA from Stride via Hyperlane will be supported on the Astria EVM and throughout the Astria shared sequencer network.
  • stTIA airdrop will be available to stTIA on both Astria and Eclipse.

Astria is a shared sequencer network with Celestia underlying that offers rollups with quick finality, resilience to censorship, composability guarantees, and decentralization at genesis.

Hyperlane is a permissionless interoperability layer that underpins Celestia’s modular ecosystem; Stride recently revealed that it has integrated with it. Using Hyperlane for bridging, Stride will act as the routing hub for stTIA for Astria. As previously mentioned, Stride will also serve as Eclipse’s routing hub. The fact that Stride is neutral, simple, and secure makes it ideal for usage as the stTIA routing hub in both of these ecosystems.

The Astria EVM is the Celestia EVM that is powered by Astria and is slated to serve as Celestia’s liquidity center.

Tokens and other arbitrary data will move effectively from one network to any other chain when Stride serves as the routing hub, which Astria can take use of. The Stride chain will provide the stTIA on the Astria network, which will employ Hyperlane for bridging.

Through the common sequencer, it will employ TIA as a gas token and support stTIA through Stride. This thorough technical page provides more information about the architecture of Astria.

Since there will be a single default version of stTIA across the modular ecosystem, making it simple to move tokens and other arbitrary data from one chain to another, Stride’s role as the routing hub will make this possible.

Continuing stTIA airdrop will be available to stTIA on both Astria and Eclipse.
