- Web 3 development platform Moralis announced that it has expanded support for Polkadot’s parachain Moonbeam Network throughout its Application Programming Interface (API) suite.
Through its APIs, Moralis assists developers in resolving problems they encounter when migrating from Web2 systems to decentralized blockchain apps. The solution’s decentralized apps (dApps) that are already in use can be integrated into new projects using the Moralis APIs.
For example, by utilizing Moralis’ Wallet API, Moonbeam developers may integrate wallet features and obtain extensive information about token pricing, NFTs, transactions, real-time on-chain activity, user engagement, market insights, and trend data.
Moreover, the partnership would allow developers on different chains to implement Moonbeam support for different dApps using Moralis, opening Polkadot to other networks. The website for Moralis states:
Moonbeam makes it easier for Ethereum developers to integrate into the Polkadot ecosystem by providing them with recognizable tools and integrations.
Ivan Liljeqvist, CEO of Moralis, expressed enthusiasm about the integration and highlighted how it will speed up the creation of premium dApps for the cryptocurrency sector. He continued, saying:
You get the best of both worlds with Moonbeam and Moralis: a fantastic platform for developing dapps and top-notch APIs that streamline the entire process.
Aaron Evans, Head of Operations at Moonbeam, emphasized the importance of the collaboration in terms of increasing prospects for builders. He mentioned that through this collaboration, it would be possible to offer builders more options and better assistance for the enthusiastic developers who also share Moonbeam’s objective of building a fully integrated Web3 ecosystem.
In a Series A investment round that took place in 2022, Moralis raised $40 million from prominent investors like Coinbase Ventures. Since then, some of the largest Web3 projects, including MetaMask, Blockchain.com, and Opera, have used its API with considerable success.
