MicroStrategy increases its total holdings to 214,400 BTC in April after purchasing 122 BTC

MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, disclosed fresh data on its bitcoin holdings on Monday in conjunction with its first-quarter 2024 financial report.

According to the quarterly report, the company currently owns 214,400 bitcoin, valued at $7.54 billion total, or $35,180 per token.

The company purchased 25,250 bitcoin for $1.65 billion, or $65,232 per BTC, since the conclusion of the fourth quarter. Saylor disclosed on social media that the company paid $7.8 million to purchase an extra 122 Bitcoin in April.

MicroStrategy reported having 214,278 BTC as of March 31. After revealing on March 19 that it had 214,246 Bitcoin, the company most likely bought 32 Bitcoin, according to a prior report from The Block.

The company recorded $115.2 million in revenue, a 5% drop from the previous year.

According to a statement from MicroStrategy Chief Financial Officer Andrew Kang, “We raised over $1.5 billion in the first quarter by executing again on our capital markets strategy, including two successful convertible debt offerings.”

“For the fourteenth consecutive quarter, we have added more bitcoin to our balance sheet: since the conclusion of the fourth quarter, we have acquired 25,250 extra bitcoins. We think that our operating structure, approach to bitcoin, and emphasis on technological innovation together offer a special chance for our shareholders to create value.”

At $1,292.97 at the end of regular trading on Monday, MicroStrategy’s shares had a $22.8 billion market capitalization.
