Seed funding lead by Blockchain Capital totaled $5 million for the blockchain firm Mamori.
Angel investors Grigore Rosu, Daniel Lubarov, Alex Watts, Bo Du, Shujia Liang, Michael Heinrich, and Antonio Viggiano were among the participants in the round, in addition to Velocity Capital and Web3.com.
The Mamori has raised $5 million of its total financing thus far through this campaign.
Mamori is working on a method to detect vulnerabilities in blockchain-based applications, with the goal of enhancing web3 security. The software looks for potential exploits by taking value from the blockchain-based software, rather than depending on prior knowledge of how exploits have operated.
This kind of method is known as a value extraction system supported by machine learning. It can be used for known vulnerabilities that have not yet been fixed or zero-day vulnerabilities, as well as scalability and automation challenges.
Semantically-based formal verification tools validate that the program complies with the specification; this correctness proof is then ZK-ed and published on-chain as verifiable evidence. Mamori Advisor Grigore Rosu stated that the tools help remove programming errors while learning the contract specification.
