- Another significant milestone has been reached by Helium Mobile, a decentralized wireless phone company powered by the Helium Network.
The platform targeted device manufacturers with the launch of its tech stack licensing program on Tuesday. Helium Mobile thinks this is a positive step toward their goal of providing worldwide access to reasonably priced and efficient wireless communication.
The Helium Mobile team stated in a press statement given to crypto.news that the tech stack licensing scheme enables a cooperative ecosystem where device manufacturers are essential to the effort to revolutionize a $3.1 trillion industry.
The main goal of this licensing scheme is to make cellular service available to actual people. This is a big change that will reward customers for their hard work.
We consider having access to the internet—which many people do through a smartphone—to be a fundamental human right. Giving other manufacturers access to our technology would hasten the revolution in wireless infrastructure around the world.
According to Helium Mobile CEO Amir Haleem, the goals of this program are to empower people and communities, advance society, and create a more connected global community.
The network building solution offered by Helium Mobile
Third-party makers will have access to a robustly secure ecosystem and infrastructure, which includes features like TrustZone, Secure Boot, and Full Disk Encryption, according to Helium Mobile.
Additionally, device makers can take advantage of Helium Mobile’s technology stack to integrate decentralized connection options more quickly.
Firmware integration, the Helium Mobile Hotspot Dashboard for in-the-moment network administration and monitoring, and access to the Helium Mobile Builder App for seamless network connectivity are examples of tech stack features.
Additionally, Helium Mobile will offer customer support; interested device manufacturers are invited to get in touch with them for further details.
First vendor of Helium Mobile, MNTD
MNTD., a Web3 enterprise specializing in crypto hardware products, has emerged as the pioneer third-party producer integrating Helium Mobile. The company is primarily responsible for the majority of the mobile hotspots that are in use on the Helium Network.
Earlier this year, Helium Mobile Hotspots were introduced in Mexico by Nova Labs and Telefónica, a well-known provider of telecommunications services. Concurrently, Hotspots and other things could be purchased on Helium Mobile by MOBILE token holders thanks to the activation of Solana Pay on Shopify.
Another significant development is that Helium Mobile just updated the Helium Mobile Builders app for iOS and Android, including new tools for data transfer failures, troubleshooting, and coverage optimization.
