- The game-optimized blockchain platform Oasys, which has important alliances like Yield Guild Games and Ubisoft, has landed another significant relationship with Animoca Brands Japan.
On December 17, the gaming-focused blockchain said that Animoca Brands’ Japan division had invested directly in Oasys and will be joining as a new validator. Oasys will increase its footprint in the Greater China area as part of the cooperation by taking use of Animoca Brands’ popularity.
One of the top web3 companies in Hong Kong, Animoca Brands, uses blockchain technology to give customers digital property rights. Over 540 projects have been added to the company’s metaverse and gaming portfolio, which now includes well-known companies like Yuga Labs, the developer of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Polygon, Axie Infinity, and OpenSea.
Oasys joins a number of prominent platforms and initiatives that gain from Animoca’s function as a doorway to the adoption of web3 gaming by obtaining this collaboration with Animoca Brands Japan. Through this partnership, Oasys will be able to investigate other growth prospects both domestically and internationally.
Since being live in October 2022, the Oasys mainnet has gained more traction in recent years. The largest financial company in Japan, SBI Holdings, invested in the platform in 1999. There have been other setbacks in the industry besides the agreement with the trading giant.
Oasys just signed a contract with Ubisoft, the video game developer that created Far Cry, Brawlhalla, and Assassin’s Creed. With a planned game launch on Oasys, Ubisoft announced its entry into the web3 gaming space.
