The group of floppy pals of Pudgy Penguins are waddling into a brand-new virtual environment: a mobile video game.
The game’s developer, Mythical Marketplace, said in a statement on Thursday that the immersive mobile app, which is based on the NFT and toy collection with a penguin theme, will launch in 2025.
Mythos Chain, a Polkadot-based network that also runs the well-liked Web3 game NFL Rivals, will serve as the foundation for the AAA game.
According to Mythical Games CEO John Linden, Pudgy Penguins is the first web3 project to really become mainstream because of its amazing retail agreements with Walmart and Target as well as its quickly expanding social media following.
Developing this in conjunction with Mythical Games on the Mythical Platform and Mythos Chain—which are now in use by millions of users—will be a key factor in pushing web3 adoption among mainstream customers.
