- The on-chain trading card game’s heroes have amassed about 600 ETH between them, but not everyone is content.
The second round of in-game prizes for producers of Fantasy.Top, an Ethereum Layer 2 Blast-powered combination of trading cards and fantasy sports, has just been given out.
By May 24, awards in the amount of 600 ETH will be given to creators. In addition to Blast Gold, which functions similarly to Blast points, and Fantasy Stars, an in-game award with an unidentified use case, creators can now collect their portion of ETH royalties.
The Fantasy’s creators.Heroes in the top ecosystem are rewarded with in-game currency and royalties according to the performance and trading volume of their cards.
A window for Heroes to claim their rewards has opened from May 21 to May 23, following the May 6 distribution of the first round of creator royalties.
Imagination.”We want to match the on-chain claim with an option for heroes to share their rewards granularly with their card holders,” stated top creator Travis Bickle in an interview.
Heroes are eligible for a 1.5% trading volume charge on their card in addition to a 10% split of the total mint earnings. Although total trading costs have fluctuated, they have decreased by more than 50% from May 13 to May 19.
Since the first week of Fantasy.Top, minting fees have decreased significantly—by more than 90% since May 7. Hero royalties are predicted to accrue more slowly if these tendencies persist.
Imagination. One of the top 15 dApps in DeFi for revenue generation over the previous 30 days is Top. Since its May 1 introduction, the protocol has generated $12.2 million in fees and income, making it the highest-earning Blast-native dApp to yet.
Although they receive Blast Gold, ETH royalties, and in-game awards, some authors are concerned about the lack of clarity surrounding the scoring system and rewards distribution.
Renowned investor Gmoney suggested that @fantasy_top_ publish the formula for scoring so that individuals can make decisions based on who receives what.
In response, Bickle tweeted a remark dated May 17 stating, “Once they have decided on their preferred scoring models, we will probably disclose more information on how the score is calculated.”
