LayerZero, a cross-chain communications platform, has integrated Flare, a data-focused blockchain.

With this change, Flare can now connect to more than 70 different blockchains and Layer 1 networks including Solana and Ethereum.

Flare may now be used by the more than 50,000 decentralized applications that have gained support for it, and any chain can use Flare for decentralized data.

Hugo Philion, a co-founder of the company, stated in a statement that “this is an immensely valuable integration for all users and builders on Flare.”

The implementation of LayerZero V2 is expected to expedite the growth of Flare and facilitate the creation of an extensive range of inventive, interoperable solutions by builders.

The cryptocurrency data tracker DeFiLlama discovers that Flare has locked up $10.23 million in total value.

As of June 28, LayerZero received over 40,150 messages every day.

After LayerZero tried an experimental strategy to screen out sybil farmers—people who use a cryptocurrency platform exclusively to acquire as much airdrop as possible—the number of daily communications on the site fell to all-time lows.
