- In addition to surpassing its mid-year goal of 20 EH/s in operational hashrate, CleanSpark mined 445 bitcoin last month.
- As of June 30, CleanSpark has 6,591 bitcoin total and had mined 3,614 bitcoin in 2024.
Compared to May’s 417 bitcoin mined, CleanSpark mined 445 last month. The bitcoin miner claimed that the purchase of five additional mining locations in Georgia allowed it to surpass its mid-year operating hashrate goal of 20 EH/s.
In June, the company sold 8.06 bitcoin at an average price of over $67,514 per, according to a press release. 17.85 EH/s was the average hashrate for the entire month.
CEO Zach Bradford stated that the operational hashrate, which has surpassed 20 EH/s, is more than double that of December. We’re completely focused on achieving our goals and raising our bitcoin mining hashrate and related income streams, while our competitors are looking at other sources of money. We are eager to take advantage of the potential in Wyoming and Tennessee while maintaining the highest level of efficiency at our current locations.
Taking into account the recent April bitcoin halving, the 445 bitcoin mined reflects a rather small decrease from the 491 bitcoin mined during the same month last year. The payment that miners get for confirming transactions on the Bitcoin network is cut in half every four years.
June was a hectic month for CleanSpark. Apart from the acquisitions stated before, the company also paid $155 million to acquire GRIID Infrastructure, another Bitcoin mining startup.
By year’s end, CleanSpark should have 100 megawatts of operating power. As of June 30, the company has mined 3,614 bitcoin this year and possessed 6,591 bitcoin.
