- The two businesses want to create a blockchain-based consumer loyalty program for Hong Kong retailers.
HKT, a significant telecoms service provider in Hong Kong, and Circle have inked a Memorandum of Understanding to discuss possible blockchain-based partnerships for creating a customer loyalty program for local retailers.
Circle said in a statement on Tuesday that the two businesses want to create blockchain-powered customer loyalty programs to improve customers’ ability to find and interact with retailers.
Circle stated that its Web3 products, such as its programmable wallets, are made to assist companies in utilizing smart contracts and digital assets in their current consumer and corporate applications.
Our joint goal is to provide distinctive loyalty programs that enable Hong Kong merchants to establish closer ties with their clientele.
The partnership with HKT elevates Circle’s Web3 Services to the forefront of customer loyalty innovation, according to Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of the company.
“Our dedication to assisting companies in realizing the promise of blockchain technology to produce value-driven customer experiences, reinvent loyalty programs, and give merchants the resources they require to prosper in the digital economy is demonstrated by this partnership.”
It seems like Circle has its sights set on Asian commercial prospects. The company was closely monitoring regulatory developments in Hong Kong, as Allaire stated last year.
In February, Circle and Coincheck partnered to make USDC more widely available in Japan.
