Chainlink Data Streams are integrated into the Base mainnet using JOJO Exchange

  • Chainlink’s architecture, sub-second pricing latency, and excellent data accuracy were stated by the Base network DEX as justifications for the integration.

In a news statement released on Thursday, JOJO Exchange, a decentralized exchange (DEX) for perpetual futures running on the Base network, said that Chainlink Data Streams was deployed as its oracle solution.

Key factors for the connection, according to the exchange, were Chainlink’s infrastructure, sub-second pricing latency, and excellent data accuracy. The choice was also attributed to the protocol’s emphasis on decentralization and openness, as well as the usage of liquidity-weighted bid-ask spreads.

“Chainlink Data Streams delivers ultra low-latency bid and ask data to power the JOJO protocol, allowing us to provide an advanced UX while ensuring a robust risk framework that ultimately helps safeguard the protocol,” said JOJO founder Jotaro.

Users can enter positions at predetermined prices automatically thanks to programmable and automated trading made possible by JOJO’s usage of smart contract orders in conjunction with data from Chainlink Data Streams.

For increased efficiency, JOJO Exchange matches smart contract orders off-chain and settles them on-chain. It also enables leverage up to 1,000 times. Liquid staking tokens (LST) and liquid restaking tokens (LRT) can also be used as collateral on the platform.
