- Leading an investment round for a new blockchain gaming token is the venture capital and accelerator division of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume.
In a recent statement, Binance Labs stated that it had spearheaded a funding round for Pluto Studio, a publishing platform for game finance (GameFi).
The platform’s first iteration, called Catizen, was deployed on the Telegram TON blockchain.
With the release of Catizen, a ground-breaking gaming bot on Telegram that smoothly combines Telegram with the TON blockchain, Pluto Studio caused a stir in March of this year.
By utilizing Telegram’s massive user base to cut through the noise in today’s Web3 attention market, Catizen aims to increase the awareness of Web3 through engaging mini-games and mobile payment options.
Over 25 million players have now registered for the game, with 1.5 million of those users being on-chain, according to the statement.
According to Pluto Studios, they intend to use the funding infusion to forward the product’s development.
As co-founder of Pluto Studios Ricky Wong puts it,
This investment reaffirms our belief in our ability to provide the infrastructure required to power the upcoming wave of Web3 entertainment and validates our vision.
We are ready to grow Catizen to new heights and introduce additional cutting-edge solutions to the Telegram and TON ecosystems with the support of Binance Labs.
