A $10 million fundraising round headed by Bitkraft Ventures and Hashed has been extended to Avalon, a cryptocurrency gaming studio that intends to launch a massively multiplayer online game.
“Avalon,” the company’s debut game, is being developed by a group of professionals who have previously worked for large web2 gaming firms. Avalon announced in a statement that it had collaborated with “artificial intelligence pioneers Didimo and Inworld AI” to develop the title.
According to Avalon CEO and founder Sean Pinnock, “the Avalon universe prioritizes delivering an immersive gameplay experience by combining cutting-edge tech like Unreal Engine 5 with AI-assisted user-generated content systems.”
“With our emphasis on a no-code solution, players can easily create game logic.” Plus, AI-powered avatar NFTs will be available in our next NFT collection.”
According to his LinkedIn, Pinnock has had positions at Microsoft and Electronic Arts in the past.
According to the release, Carlos Pereira, a partner at Bitkraft Ventures, stated that Avalon can significantly contribute to the growth of synthetic reality and enable experiences with deep economics through dynamic, complicated, and yet simple-to-build [user-generated content] experiences.
Digital environments and systems that are created and simulated are referred to as synthetic reality.
According to a spokesman, “Avalon” will be made accessible to players later this year in a closed, early-access edition.
According to Avalon, Coinbase Ventures, Spartan Capital, Foresight Ventures, LiquidX, and Momentum6 were among the other investors in the investment round.
