Aragon Project’s new ‘center’ for Polygon governance

  • Aragon Project, a DAO developer, revealed that it has constructed a governance hub for Polygon.
  • Protocol governance contracts are part of an end-to-end governance system developed by Aragon Project.

The renowned Aragon Project, which built the first decentralized autonomous organizations, has announced that it has built a governance hub for the Polygon community.

As to the statement issued on Polygon’s X account on Friday, the purpose of the hub is to enable users and builders to have an impact on the fundamental development of Polygon technology. Every stage of the process will take into account community comments, guaranteeing that the platform is decentralized and imbued with community ideals.

An announcement claims that Aragon Project created an end-to-end governance framework with protocol governance contracts and a community-driven Governance Hub.

The hub, according to Mateusz Rzeszowski, head of governance at Polygon Labs, aims to put concepts that were discussed by the Polygon community last year into practice.

To meet the requirements of system smart contract upgradeability, an effective, safe, and decentralized voting model is suggested, and through the Governance Hub, the Polygon community will soon be able to directly influence protocol development, according to Rzeszowski.

A visual summary of the framework—from proposal submission through community voting and online implementation—was also made available by Polygon. Polygon and Aragon announced an X space to talk more about the development.

With the release of Aragon OSx, our next-generation modular DAO platform, we are thrilled to realize Polygon’s governance pillars. Anthony Leutenegger, CEO of Aragon X, stated in the announcement. This project is a significant step toward more inclusive and decentralized governance for Polygon, starting with the protocol governance contracts and ending with a smooth and transparent Governance Hub.
