Animoca Brands Japan Presents “SORAH,” the NFT Launchpad

  • SORAH by Animoca Brands Japan is the name of the new NFT launchpad that the company has revealed, and it is scheduled to launch in the summer of 2024.
  • Taking its name from the Japanese word for sky, SORAH seeks to assist NFT projects by giving creators a platform to market their NFTs and by providing a range of sales channels and loyalty schemes.

Uniting the World in Harmony

“SORAH by Animoca Brands” was the basis for the name, according to Kensuke Amo, COO of Animoca Brands Japan. Inspired by the way the sky (SORA [空] in Japanese) unites the world as a whole, we aim to effortlessly connect Japan and the worldwide community in the web3 realm.

Since its founding, Animoca Brands Japan has supported the growth of international initiatives in Japan while participating in the worldwide development of Japanese intellectual property and content (IP) in the web3 domain.

Now, by establishing its own launchpad, it hopes to fortify these initiatives and quicken the widespread adoption of Web3, acting as a conduit for intellectual property between Japan and other countries.

The launchpad will accept credit cards and cryptocurrencies as forms of payment, and it will support blockchain networks like Ethereum and Polygon.

SORAH will employ first-come, first-served procedures and lotteries as its sales formats. It will also work with digital wallets like WalletConnect and Metamask and use the ERC-721 token standard for NFTs.

Additionally, the site hopes to serve as a conduit between Japanese intellectual property (IPs) and audiences worldwide by boosting the visibility of Japanese works of art, such as manga and anime.
