Phantom, a cryptocurrency wallet app, reached a new peak in the iOS app store on Wednesday.
Phantom broke into the top 10 for the first time, ranking ninth among the best free iPhone apps. The messaging app WhatsApp and the social media behemoth Instagram, which came in 13th and 14th place, respectively, were surpassed by the short-form video app TikTok, which came in eighth.
Furthermore, Phantom ranked second among free utility apps on Wednesday in the iOS app store, only surpassed by Google’s search engine app.
This month, Phantom’s ranking in the app store had been rising quickly.
Phantom was ranked 377th in the iPhone App Store on November 12, just a little more than a week ago.
Originally built on top of Solana, Phantom is a non-custodial digital asset wallet and browser extension that now supports Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, and Polygon.
Phantom raised $109 million in Series B funding, resulting in a $1.2 billion value on January 31, 2022, the day Phantom’s app was released on the iOS app store.
