After Aethir opens its Ethereum mainnet, the ATH token surges 100% in under two hours

  • The network of Aethir, supported by NVIDIA and HPE, has more than 500,000 users.

Together with its native currency ATH, Aethir has formally launched its decentralized cloud computing network on the Ethereum mainnet.

According to data aggregator CoinGecko, the coin has increased by around 100% in the previous two hours since its introduction.

Through Aethir’s platform, high-performance computer resources can be rented for digital content rendering or AI training. The economy is driven by the native token, ATH, which uses Arbitrum for speedy payments and Ethereum for staking. The token plays a crucial role in governance and security inside the Aethir ecosystem.

The release stated that after a successful $146 million node sale, Aethir’s testnet user base had grown to over 500,000.

The protocol also received support from major players in the industry, including as NVIDIA and HPE, and is currently taking another step to open up its processing capacity to AI and game companies throughout the globe.

Furthermore, the protocol invites users to participate in a staking scheme that will protect and expand its distributed GPU network. The first staking pools of ATH Gaming and ATH AI offer prizes in association with gaming and AI firms.

Notably, the story of the decentralized public infrastructure network (DePIN) is gaining traction quickly. According to a CoinGecko study, DePIN was the fifth-largest topic in cryptocurrency in Q1. Furthermore, by market capitalization, this industry is currently among the top 30.
