A fundraising round of $1.64 million is introduced on the bitcoin asset marketplace in South Africa

  • Reverse mortgage firm Mesh.trade raised $1.64 million (ZAR30 million) in funding thanks to the decentralized cross-asset marketplace in South Africa.
  • The supplier is able to give homeowners the chance to earn large profits while they stay in their houses thanks to the capital increase.

Platform for Regulated Alternative Capital Raising

Recently, a $1.64 million (ZAR30 million) capital round for the South African reverse mortgage provider Water Financial was announced by the decentralized cross-asset marketplace Mesh.trade. 30,000 Series A preference shares, which pay 87% of the prime loan rate, were issued as part of the hike.

The capital increase is the first of several that are anticipated to be conducted in order to fund Water Financial’s increasing lending requirements, according to a report. According to Mesh.trade Managing Director Connie Bloem, the platform provides a different strategy for raising money.

Bloem claims, “We created our platform to provide investors with previously unattainable investments as well as a regulated alternative channel for entrepreneurs looking to raise capital to finance their growth.”

In the upcoming months, Mesh.trade intends to offer further alternative and private capital assets to investors, according to Bloem.

Mesh.trade’s capital round was praised by Chris Loker, the managing director and founder of Water Financial, who said it allows older homeowners to keep ownership of their residences. Loker went on to say that by contributing to the capital campaign, investors allow Water Financial to provide homeowners with potentially large profits without interfering with their daily lives.

According to Loker, the platform enables investors to obtain returns that above inflation from a forward-thinking company that aims to displace established financial institutions who are unable of catering to this expanding market niche.
